Safety Testing without Animals
These regulations usually require animal testing to detect undesirable side effects in order to protect consumers health. For animal welfare reasons, however, it is also a legal demand to avoid animal use in toxicological safety testing. BTO's scientific services are addressed to resolve the contradiction between chemical safety and animal welfare in regulatory toxicology. An "Alternative Toxicology" makes sure chemical and consumer saftey and at the same time focusses on animal welfare by reducing the number of laboratory animals or even replacing animal tests at all. Animalfree testing means a significant reduction of costs and a positive product image for chemical substances as well as products e.g. cosmetics.
